Capercaillie is a Scottish folk band, founded in the 1980s by multi-instrumentalist Donald Shaw and fronted by singer Karen Matheson. 30 years on they are still one of the most respected and successful Scottish Folk groups.
They have adapted traditional Gaelic songs and music using modern production techniques, and often mix musical forms, combining traditional lyrics with drums and bass.
